RESIDENTIAL SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH IDD

At Emerald Assisted Living we provide group home services to eligible adults experiencing intellectual and developmental disabilities.

While we are designated as a 'group home' by title, we deeply acknowledge and honor that this is, first and foremost, our residents’ home—a place of comfort, dignity, and belonging.

We partner with our residents and their support team to encourage and empower each of our residents to meet their personal goals and support their life choices.

We foster an environment that is peer lead and supported, meaning that each resident has input and is an active participant in supporting one another and the home culture.

- Medication Support: Assistance with self- administering medication to ensure safety and consistency
- Hygiene & Daily Living: Help with bathing, grooming, dressing, and other essential daily activities
Household Support
- Laundry & Housekeeping: Maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment with support for routine tasks
Social & Community Engagement
- Healthy Relationship Building: Encouraging and guiding respectful, meaningful interactions
- Community Integration & Inclusion: Support in joining community events, groups, or programs to build social bonds
Appointment & Transportation Assistance: Help scheduling appointments, and arranging safe travel

Safety & Well-being
- Community Safety Awareness: Promoting safe practices in the home and community through education, guidance and practice.

- 24/7 Awake Staff
- Staff ratio of 1 staff to 4 residents
Transportation services
Private rooms with en-suite handicap accessible bathroom

We proudly accept Alaska Medicaid IDD and APDD Waivers, private pay, and long-term care insurance (as permitted by policy terms).
